Dark realism & macabre surrealism

-executed at a fine art level, built for collectors who don't settle.

Most tattoo artists can do dark. Very few understand it.

There's a difference between an artist who'll tattoo a skull and one who's spent years studying Giger's biomechanical nightmares, Wrightson's pen and ink horror, and the way Goya made the grotesque feel sacred.

If you've been circling artists for months — saving references, loving the concept, but knowing something's not quite right — you're not being difficult. You just haven't found your person yet.

Your vision deserves more than "close enough."

This is the work I was built for.

I'm Travis — a tattoo artist specializing in dark realism, black & grey, and macabre surrealism at Tron City Tattoo. My influences aren't trends. They're David Lynch, Caravaggio, Arik Roper, Edward Gorey, and practical effects horror from an era when monsters were made by hand.

I work with collectors. People who think about placement, about the arc of a full body of work, about what it means to wear something permanently. I don't do flash off the wall for walk-ins. I do deeply considered, technically precise tattoos for people who take this seriously.

If that's you — let's talk.

The wrong artist is expensive in ways that outlast the appointment.

Settling for "pretty good" means carrying it forever. The right piece — the one that fits your vision and your body of work — is worth waiting for and choosing carefully.

Here’s how it works:

01 — Submit an Inquiry

Tell me about your concept, placement, and timeline. No commitment, no pressure.

02 — We Talk it Through

If it's a good fit, we'll schedule a consultation to refine the design and nail down the details.

03 — We Build Something Permanent

You walk out with a work of art that you will get to carry with you for life.
